Lip balms tried and tested!

#beauty, #lips, #teens

There are so many lip balms on the market but which ones really work? And are the most expensive really the best? We tried and tested six sweetly scented lip balms to find out!

Burts Bees – Replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil
This stick lip balm smells lovely and fruity and is made with 100% natural ingredients. It’s lovely and smooth when it goes on but dries out quite quickly.
Costs around: £3.69
Best for: Natural ingredients

Carmex Strawberry tube
This cult lip balm is loved by beauty editors and celebs around the world and we can see why! The tube means it’s really easy to apply and it smells amazing! It’s also great for healing dry cracked lips so is an Autumn/Winter must have.
Costs around: £2.69
Best for: Rescuing dry cracked lips

Vaseline lip therapy – Cocoa Butter
Packaged in a cute tin this balm is applied using your fingers and goes on really smoothly. It smells like a chocolate dessert so is pretty addictive. It lasts for a while after you apply it and gives a bit of a shine too. Not bad for under £2!
Costs around: £1.99
Best for: Shine

Nivea lip butter – Raspberry Rose
Packaged in a slightly smaller tin than Vaseline, again you apply with your fingers. This balm feels really creamy and moisturizing and lasts for ages. It has a lovely soft, feminine fragrance.
Costs around: £2.10
Best for: Long lasting moisture

Blistex – Raspberry lemonade blast
This stick lip balms smells so good and goes on nicely but doesn’t really last long and seems to dry out quickly. It’s a steal at £1.75 though so if value is what you’re looking for, this is the one for you.
Costs around: £1.75
Best for: Value

Maybelline Baby Lips – Pink Punch
We love the packaging of this balm which actually looks more like a lip stick. Don’t be scared by the colour though (bright pink). It only gives a subtle hint of colour and smells great.
Costs around: £2.99
Best for: A hint of colour

We recommend - Carmex Strawberry tube lip balm. It smells amazing, lasts ages and heals dry cracked lips almost overnight!

What’s your favourite lip balm? Have you tried any of these yourself? Or maybe you have a different recommendation?

Eos lip balms are quite good but they're too expensive for one bit of lipbalm. The body shop born lippy lip balms are only £2 but they're better than eos and they smell a bit nicer as well

me

I use a 'fatface' one. Its an amazing brand usually but it dries quickly and its all I have.

Bae??

I like the lipsmackers😄

ive used the baby lips and omg it was amazing ive also tried eos which honestly i think is a slight bit better! i think with every lil-lets pack there should be a small eos, baby lips or any good lip balm

I love the EOS lip balm in strawberry sorbet. It is super moisturizing and smells delicious. It is a bit pricey but is sold in Urban Outfitters!!
